I was very pleased with the format, the instructor, and the relaxed atmosphere. I was given confidence to start putting onto paper what was in front of me, and helpful feedback.

It was terrific. I enjoyed learning different styles and cultures of portrait painting. And it was really fun to learn about "blobbing". You have to take this course to get the picture!

It was fantastic! The instructor inspired me to draw using my own style, which is key to my progress and enjoyment, She drew an example which allowed her to model for the class. I highly recommend this class.

I really enjoyed the event. Teymura was on time, well prepared and catered individually to people with different levels of experience. I med fellow art lovers and enjoyed my time outdoors. I also learned new techniques of shading that I will practice further in my own.

Tempura Landsverk met the class at 1 pm and immediately asked me what my goals were for the class. As I was the only person who showed, probably due to the chill in the air, I felt honored to get such individualized instruction. She provided me with examples of various techniques to show contour, depth and perspective. It was a fun 2 hours and I hope to take another class with Teymura.

I painted this Puro Raza Espa?ola horse as an entry for the poster constest for the annual Iberian Horse showcase, "Ibericon" held in Ocala, FL, at the World Equestrian Center in October. Sadly, it was not chosen as the winner, but it provided me with the inspiration to bring to fruition an idea that I had been wanting to try. As an equestrian art enthusiast, I've long admired the work of George Stubbs, and Alfred Munnings. I used a Stubbs "pose," and tried to implement the brushwork and colo

These houses overlook the local harbor and have a fabulous front-row seat to all the comings and goings. The forsythia glows in the spring especially in front of this antique cape with the unusual gingerbread trim. Just a great day to paint. Any day painting outside is a joy.

Low Tide. 16x20 O/CThere are several places along our favorite shore walk in which, after turning a corner, there is this vast field of seaweed texturing the rocks and shore. It comes with an earthy odor and the promise of finding crabs, scallop shells, interesting driftwood, a buoy or two, and, if fortunate, a blue piece of sea-glass. It?s a favorite view.

Eternal LifeLet's face it, life is beyond the physical body. Daffodils always bloom after a harsh winter and remind us Resurrection is here too.A seagull with its Birds Eye view rise above petty problems, and live with emotional independence.A lesser bulb fly reminds us that time is fast and precious.Bee represents the soul, the connection with the spiritual world.Caterpillar is the resurrection into a new life.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.

My aim is always to capture not only the likeness of an animal but also the personality and spirit that make them so special to the people who love them.In this piece, Colin is shown resting amongst a vibrant meadow of wildflowers, his striking green eyes drawing the viewer in.
