REVIEWS
Tempura Landsverk met the class at 1 pm and immediately asked me what my goals were for the class. As I was the only person who showed, probably due to the chill in the air, I felt honored to get such individualized instruction. She provided me with examples of various techniques to show contour, depth and perspective. It was a fun 2 hours and I hope to take another class with Teymura.

Teymura Landsverk
Hi!
I'm Teymura, a newer host. I've been doing art all my life; when I was younger mainly anime and comics, then later on fine art. I have a degree in Painting and Printmaking and art history minor from VCUarts. My favorite medium is oil paint, seconded by watercolor and inks as they're expressive. I 've assisted and lead classes at a local Cambridge studio, and have practice in facilitating critiques and demos. In my work I like to explore women's and animal rights as they make up our cultures in many ways, but I also enjoy painting:

1) Landscapes because there's so many elements you choose to use, add, and change.
2) Animal Portraits, as I love animals!
3) Still Lives as they are a good exercise in concentration and in understanding how to go about drawing (especially for people who are new to art-making); plus the chosen objects can be just plain fun!

Looking forward to working with you!

Title or Location: Hatches Cove
I?ve painted the boat in the middle lots. It?s the Sarah Samantha. A hard working boat with a hard working captain. It?s in the cove today. The sail boat sets sail rarely. The white boat was the Damifino, the story of its interesting name - ? watcha gonna call ?er, Gardner ?? People would ask when she was being built, ?Damned if I know.? He?d say. . . .or so the story went. She was smooth in the water. Now, ? just a ghost of Hatches Cove, replaced by a power boat that sleeps 5.30x40 O/C

Title or Location: Through the coral reef
This piece was created while attending an art retreat by Milan Art Institute in Sarasota, Florida. The theme of the retreat was beneath the surface. I combined two images to add the mermaid in the background of the turtle image, creating a unique source. This painting combines collage, acrylic ink, spray paint, acrylic paint and is finished off with oil paint to encompass texture and vibrancy. As a New Englander I love being on or around the water. This piece brought out my passion for sea life

My art journey with Grace has been an incredible experience. She was originally intended to be a quick study of a white horse done in soft pastel. Little did I know, my vision was failing. I had developed cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration which all seriously compromised my vision and my color perception. I found myself struggling with proportions and balance which ultimately caused me to go to the eye doctor. My treatments have been successful and despite the many prior errors I was

Title or Location: The Canyon Dancer
Entirely made from recycled hay baling twine, "The Canyon Dancer" is a free spirit from the canyons of the Midwest. She twirls celebrating the traditions of her ancestors in this flowing organic form. Harding's work rejuvenates tradition basketry with a contemporary take for the modern audience. There are no fixatives to create these forms, only the tension of the twine sewn in concentric circles.
